He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself… (1 Corinthians 14:4)
The flow of the Holy Spirit is not meant to be limited to special meetings or occasional moments of prayer. It is a lifestyle. Times of praying in other tongues are opportunities to build yourself up and become increasingly conscious of the Holy Spirit’s presence. As you yield to Him, He ministers to your spirit in ways that go beyond human understanding.
Make it a priority to set aside regular times for uninterrupted fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Find a place where you can give yourself to prayer without distraction. As you spend time in His presence, He strengthens your inner man, imparts divine mysteries and causes you to grow in spiritual maturity.
Do not neglect these moments of fellowship. They are not the end in themselves but the beginning of a life continually led by the Holy Spirit. The more you cultivate His presence in private, the more His wisdom, power and grace become evident in your daily life.
Walk with the Holy Spirit throughout your day, and let His flow become the atmosphere in which you live.
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank You for the privilege of fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit. I give myself to prayer and continually build myself up in the Spirit. My life is filled with His presence, my spirit is edified, and I walk in His wisdom, power and victory every day, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.
