And in all matters of wisdom and understanding, that the king enquired of them, he found them ten times better…(Daniel 1:20)

One of the remarkable things about Daniel was his ability to bring solutions. The Bible tells us that he had wisdom and understanding, and later we see that his ability to interpret difficult matters and dissolve doubts became known. Excellence is not merely about looking impressive; it is about becoming equipped to solve problems.

A person of excellence does not add to the confusion but instead brings clarity. When others are uncertain, he thinks. When something is difficult, he learns. When there is a challenge, he searches for a solution. This is part of becoming a person of immense value.

Look at what was said about Daniel: “an excellent spirit” was found in him, and with that excellent spirit came knowledge, understanding, wisdom, interpretation, and the ability to explain difficult matters. His excellence was practical. It could be seen in what he was able to do for others.

This should challenge you to develop your capacity. Don’t be satisfied with knowing only what you already know. Keep learning. Develop your understanding. Become better at what God has entrusted to you. If something is difficult, don’t immediately conclude that you cannot do it. Study it. Ask questions. Practise. Grow.

The world needs Christians who can bring solutions while maintaining godly character. Your spirituality and your competence should work together. Let the Holy Spirit work in you while you also discipline yourself to learn and develop.

Prayer:

Glorious Father, I thank You for giving me wisdom and understanding. Thank You for making me a person who brings clarity where there is confusion and solutions where there are challenges. I declare that my knowledge, wisdom, and understanding are increasing, and my life is becoming a greater blessing to others, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
