If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: (Isaiah 1:19)
Spiritual excellence is not only seen in what we know, but in how accurately we respond to the instructions of the Spirit. There will be moments when the Holy Spirit prompts you to pray, to wait, to move, to speak, or to remain silent. In those moments, excellence means responding with faith and obedience rather than hesitation, excuses, or delay.
True yielding to God begins in the heart. It is possible to appear surrendered outwardly while resisting inwardly. God is not looking merely for religious appearance; He desires a heart that is willing to follow His direction. When you value His instructions, you will not treat them casually. You will learn to recognise His leading and respond to it faithfully.
Pride can make simple instructions difficult to obey. Sometimes we question what God has said because we want a more complicated answer, or we resist spiritual authority because we believe we know better. But spiritual growth requires humility. When you learn to trust God even when you do not understand everything, you develop the discipline to follow His Word and His leading accurately.
Nothing God does is without purpose. His instructions are connected to His plan for your life, and obedience positions you to walk in what He has prepared for you. Your next level may be connected to a simple instruction you have been overlooking. Value what God tells you. Act on it faithfully. Let your obedience become a visible expression of your love, humility, and trust in Him.
Prayer:
Glorious Father, I thank You for the privilege of being led by Your Spirit and instructed by Your Word. Thank You for giving me a willing and humble heart that responds to You with faith and accuracy. I walk in obedience, grow in spiritual maturity, and faithfully follow Your direction into all that You have prepared for me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
