Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. (Romans 4:18)

Abraham’s faith was not merely something he kept as an abstract thought. What he believed affected the way he approached his circumstances. Genuine faith produces an inward conviction that eventually influences our words and actions.

There is a difference between repeating positive statements and speaking from genuine faith. Faith-filled words are not magic formulas. They flow from a heart that has become persuaded by the Word of God. When you truly believe what God has said, your speech begins to reflect that confidence.

This is why you must be careful about continually speaking against what you say you believe. If your heart is being established in God’s Word, let your conversation increasingly agree with it. Speak with wisdom, speak with faith, and speak in harmony with Scripture.

Build your inner man with the Word of God until your speech naturally reflects a person who trusts Him.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the power and truth of Your Word. Thank You for teaching me to develop a heart that is genuinely persuaded by what You have spoken. My words consistently reflect a heart that trusts You and honours Your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
