But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith. (Galatians 5:22)

Being born of God, one of the most beautiful realities we carry within us is the source of joy. Joy is not something you try to create—it is a fruit of the Spirit. When you received the Holy Spirit, you received the very source that produces true joy in you.

Romans 14:17 says, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost”. The phrase “joy in the Holy Ghost” is significant. It reveals that joy is not just an emotion but an essential component of God’s Kingdom—a divine force released through the Spirit’s presence within you.

This joy is different. It is stable and supernatural. It brings calmness, fulfillment, strength, and inner enthusiasm, even when circumstances seem unfavorable. In the Old Testament, the prophet declared, the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10). That joy was a direct result of the Spirit’s presence upon him—but now, the Holy Spirit doesn’t just come upon us, He lives in us.

Now that you are in Christ, this joy is your inheritance. It is not dependent on circumstances but flows from the Spirit of God who dwells within you. When you understand this and let joy in the Holy Ghost dominate your spirit, everything begins to shift for your good.

Celebrate God, for He fills you with joy. Worship Him today as the source of joy. Let this joy rise and overflow—it will strengthen you and silence every voice of fear, heaviness, or defeat. His joy in you is your advantage.

Prayer:
Dear Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You because Your joy is in me, and it gives me strength. I am strong in You, and I worship You. You are the God who fills me with joy. Nothing is impossible for me because I am strengthened from within by the joy You have filled me with through the Holy Ghost. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
