For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. (2 Corinthians 4:16)
God never intended your spiritual life to remain the same year after year. Just as your physical body requires daily nourishment, your spirit must also be refreshed every day. The beautiful thing about the Christian life is that no matter what is happening around you, your inward man can continue growing stronger through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
This is why praying in tongues is so important. Every time you pray in the Spirit, you are strengthening your inner man. As you meditate on the Scriptures and spend time in God’s presence, your faith is built up, your convictions become stronger, and your heart becomes firmly established in Christ. You are preparing yourself not merely to survive life’s challenges but to overcome them victoriously.
Have you ever noticed how some believers remain full of joy and confidence even during difficult seasons? Their secret is not the absence of challenges but the consistency of their spiritual life. They have learned to renew themselves daily. They refuse to allow discouragement, fear, or negative circumstances to dominate their thinking because they continually fill themselves with the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.
Make it your daily priority to strengthen your inner man. Pray in tongues more often. Meditate on the Word of God continually. Stay full of the Holy Spirit. As you do, your outward circumstances will no longer determine your joy. Instead, your life will become a continual testimony of God’s strength, wisdom, and faithfulness working through you.
Prayer:
Gracious Father, I thank You for the continual work of the Holy Spirit in my life. Thank You because my inward man is renewed day by day as I pray in the Spirit and meditate on Your Word. I rejoice that I grow stronger in faith, steadfast in my convictions, and fruitful in every good work. Thank You for making my life a testimony of Your grace and power. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
