One of the clearest characteristics of the sons of God is their love for the Father. Our relationship with Him is not built on fear or obligation but on His amazing love for us. He loved us first, gave His Son for us, and brought us into His family. Our love for Him is simply our response to His great love.
Sometimes we sincerely desire to love God more, yet we struggle because our minds are filled with distractions and worldly concerns. The more we feed on the Word of God and spend time in His presence, the more our love for the Father grows. His Word reveals His heart, and knowing Him more causes us to love Him more deeply.
Our love for the Father is also reflected in how we treat others. Since our heavenly Father loves every person, His love flowing through us enables us to love others with kindness, patience, and compassion. Faith works by love, and a heart filled with God’s love becomes a powerful witness to the world.
Spend time in fellowship with Him. Let His Word fill your heart, and allow His love to transform every area of your life.

Dear Father, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Thank You for revealing Yourself to me through Your Word. My love for You continues to grow each day, and Your love overflows through my life to everyone around me. I thank You that my faith works through love and that my life brings joy to Your heart.
