I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13)

One of the greatest hindrances to spiritual growth is the habit of making excuses. Some blame their family, their workplace, their circumstances or even their government for not doing what the Holy Spirit has prompted them to do. Yet, the Holy Spirit has not called you to live by excuses but by His grace and power.

Do not allow the attitudes of others to determine your walk with God. Continue praying, studying the Scriptures, preaching the Gospel and living according to the Word. Your responsibility is to obey the Holy Spirit; He is responsible for the results.

As you faithfully walk with Him, your life will become a testimony. Those around you will begin to see the peace, wisdom, joy and success that the Holy Spirit produces in you. In time, many who once ignored your faith may desire to know the Lord because they have witnessed His transforming power in your life.

Never blame your environment. Instead, become the person through whom the Holy Spirit transforms it.

Prayer

Dear Father, I refuse to make excuses or blame my circumstances. Through the Holy Spirit, I boldly live according to Your Word and faithfully obey His leading. My life is a testimony of the Lord Jesus, and through me, many are drawn to Your truth and salvation, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.
