And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. (Matthew 14:25)

Moses divided the Red Sea. Joshua witnessed the Jordan being stopped. Elijah and Elisha struck the waters, and the river parted before them. But when our Lord Jesus encountered the sea, He did something extraordinary: He walked upon it. He did not need to create a dry path through the water because the water itself could not prevent Him from moving forward.

This reveals something about the authority and uniqueness of Lord Jesus. He was not controlled by the limitations that governed the natural world. The storm, the waves, and the sea were not greater than Him. He demonstrated His divine authority in a way that caused His disciples to marvel.

As followers of Lord Jesus Christ, we must learn to develop a perspective shaped by faith rather than by fear. This does not mean pretending that difficulties do not exist. It means refusing to give obstacles the final authority over our confidence, obedience, and progress.

When adversity appears, remember the One you follow. Our Master Jesus is the Lord over every circumstance.
Through the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, you can face challenges with courage, wisdom, and unwavering trust in Him, walking always in perpetual victory parade( ref. 2 Corinthians 2:14).

Prayer:

Dear Father, I thank You for who You are and for the authority You demonstrate. Thank You that my faith is anchored in You, the One who is greater than every adversity. I affirm that I see circumstances through the light of Your Word and respond to challenges with courage and confidence, and supernatural authority, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
