Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (Matthew 11:28).
The way you identify Lord Jesus in your life shapes the way you relate with Him. It is one thing to know that Jesus is the Lord, but it is another to know His heart, His personality, and His love toward you. Lord Jesus is the expression of God’s love in a person. God knew you even before you were born, and His love for you was already established.
When Lord Jesus came to the earth, He revealed the nature of the Father. He was God manifested in the flesh, showing us not only divine power but also divine love, compassion, and closeness. As Scriptures show, He invites those who are burdened to come to Him and receive rest, revealing that His heart is always open toward you (Matthew 11:28).
Do not relate to Lord Jesus only from a distant or formal perspective. See Him as the One who truly cares for you, who considers you His own. Even on the cross, He endured with the vision of bringing you into a life of glory with Him, showing the depth of His love and commitment.
This is a personal relationship. You are His, and He is yours. When you recognize Jesus not only as the Lord but also as the One who deeply loves you, your fellowship becomes richer, your faith becomes stronger, and your life becomes more restful and confident.
Prayer:
Dear Heavenly Father, I declare that I know Jesus not only as the Lord but as the One who truly loves and cares for me. I acknowledge that I am His and He is mine. I walk in the consciousness of His love, His presence, and His closeness in my life. I receive His rest, His comfort, and His affection, and I grow daily in fellowship with Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
