But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 3:18)

Spiritual growth does not happen automatically. Just as physical development requires nourishment and exercise, spiritual advancement requires intentional commitment to God’s Word and the Holy Spirit. Nobody accidentally becomes spiritually mature. Growth happens when we consistently choose to walk with God.

Have you ever wondered why some believers seem to grow rapidly while others remain at the same level for years? The difference is often found in daily habits. Those who spend time in the Word, pray consistently, and respond to God’s leading are continually growing and developing.

Every day presents opportunities to mature spiritually. Sometimes growth comes through studying the Scriptures. At other times, it comes through obeying God’s instructions, forgiving someone who hurt you, or choosing faith when circumstances are difficult. Each act of obedience strengthens your spiritual life.

Make a decision today that spiritual growth will not be left to chance. Be intentional about your relationship with God. Keep building your life upon His Word, and you will continually advance into His purpose and plan for your life.

Prayer:

Precious Father, thank You for helping me grow in grace and in the knowledge of Christ. I commit myself to Your Word and to the leading of the Holy Spirit. I take definite steps and I’m intentional towards my spiritual growth every day. My life advances continually according to Your perfect will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
