And the LORD said unto Abram, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: (Genesis 13:14)

What you continually see influences what you prepare yourself to pursue. A person who has no vision may remain satisfied with very little simply because nothing greater has been established in their thinking. But when God expands your understanding through His Word, He can also expand the possibilities you are willing to pursue.

God’s Word gives us a framework for thinking beyond our present limitations. Abraham had to lift his eyes. He had to look beyond the place where he was standing and recognise the extent of what God was showing him.

This is why you must guard your inner vision. Do not continually feed your mind with defeat, impossibility, fear, and limitation. Fill your heart with the Word of God. Learn to think in agreement with what He has said and allow His truth to enlarge your vision and expectation.

The measure of your vision will influence the measure of what you are prepared to pursue. That’s because extent of your vision is the boundary of your blessings. Let God’s Word enlarge your thinking. See yourself growing spiritually, increasing in wisdom, becoming more effective, serving with greater capacity, and walking faithfully in God’s purpose for your life.

Prayer:

Dear Father, I thank You for the ability to grow in understanding and to see beyond. Thank You for Your Word, which enlarges my thinking and gives direction to my expectations. I receive the grace to develop a vision that is shaped by Your truth and pursued with faith, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
