And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. (Philippians 1:9)

Love is one of the greatest evidences of spiritual growth, but biblical love is not driven by emotions alone. God desires that our love increases together with understanding and discernment. When love is guided by truth, it becomes a powerful force that blesses, strengthens, and protects others.

Many people mistake love for simply agreeing with everyone or overlooking everything. However, true Christian love is rooted in God’s Word. It knows how to encourage, correct, help, and build people up according to God’s wisdom.

As you mature spiritually, your love should become more effective and purposeful. It should help people draw closer to God and become stronger in their faith. Love without wisdom can be misguided, but love joined with discernment produces lasting fruit.

Choose to grow in this kind of love every day. Let your words, actions, and decisions be influenced by both compassion and divine understanding.

Prayer:

Precious Father, thank You for teaching me to love as You love. Let my love abound with knowledge and discernment. I choose to express Your wisdom and kindness in all my relationships, that my life may glorify You always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
