For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
Fear is a spirit, and it stands in direct opposition to faith. Fear magnifies the power of darkness, while faith exalts the truth and power of God. As a child of God, you must never identify with fear, because in Christ you have not received the spirit of fear, but the Spirit who imparts power, love and a sound mind.
The Holy Spirit is the very Spirit of God dwelling within you. He possesses all power and all authority, and He glorifies the Name of the Lord Jesus. His presence in your life drives out fear and fills you with divine confidence. No matter what challenge confronts you, you are never alone. The greater One lives in you.
Therefore, refuse to entertain fear in your thoughts or conversations. Instead, acknowledge the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit. As you become more conscious of Him, boldness rises within you, and fear loses its influence. Live each day knowing that the Spirit of God in you is greater than every situation you will ever face.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I thank You because You have not given me the spirit of fear. The Holy Spirit lives in me, and I walk in His power, love and soundness of mind. I refuse every form of fear and intimidation. I am bold, confident and victorious because the Spirit of God dwells in me, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.
